I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker but you might call me a Recovery Expert and Birth Advocate! I am a Miami, Florida native with a strong Caribbean heritage. My grandmother raised me in Jamaica during my early childhood. I recall her reciting proverbs about living a selfless life and serving others. Witnessing my grandmother’s generousity in the community sparked my passion for social work. I received my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from Florida International University. I fell in love with the therapy process during my clinical practicums in graduate school!
The birth of my daughter helped me develop a passion to advocate for pregnant and postpartum mothers. My journey through motherhood caused me to realize how important mental wellness is for mothers. I live to advocate for the rights of mothers to have the healthiest options for birth. I am also dedicated to promoting maternity mental health where I help pregnant and postpartum moms work through postpartum and perinatal mood disorders. I am also the very first PSI (Postpartum Support International) State Coordinator for the entire state of Mississippi.
I guide women and families as they journey to explore , process, develop skills and gain awareness. I am a firm believer of solution building and collaborating with clients to discover their strengths, potential and develop useful skills to address their challenges.
I am dedicated to helping women heal from low self esteem, anxiety, depression, addiction, postpartum and perinatal mood disorder, and more!
